Fitting a Titleist Driver
A successful fitting will not take place without an experienced fitter. ![]() Secondly, where technology has taken the equipment is incredible. I have a reasonable understanding of clubhead characteristics combined with shaft function. To be able to dial in adjustments on the new Titleist drivers based on instant computerized data with regard to ball flight, spin rate and launch angles is phenomenal. These tests are not new as a whole, but the adjustability of the Titleist club head, along with the ability to change shafts on the spot is one of the recent developments. ![]() The bottom line is that I was impressed and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. I would recommend Joe Colbert and the Titleist Driver Fitting System to anyone looking for the magic driver. You still have to establish sound technique, but by getting properly fit with a driver, you will certainly improve your driving. Really can't give you a good answer from here. If you lighten the shaft, you will get a faster swing speed and as we get older, that becomes more important. But with so many shafts available, it is hard to say which one will work for best you. For instance, if the driver becomes too light, I have trouble controlling it. I would suggest you find a friend using a light shaft and try his club before making any changes.

Love the 910 my son has a 910 w/proforce v2 75 gram shaft. He hits it a ton and I really like it myself - issue being I not sure if I wouldn't be better with a 60 gram v2. I'm 51 and my swing speed is still high 90's. Just wondering if the weight difference would matter. DVJAS |
