2013 Driver TestBACK

We have held five tests in the Los Angeles region. An interesting side note that had me pull this category from the final results is looks. A very distinct like/dislike over the new trend in head graphics. TaylorMade, NIKE and Cobra came with modern, non-traditional looks. And it had an effect on the results. We will be taking that into consideration with the final results.

Some observations:

• The clubs that were generally good across all ratings were Cleveland Classic, PING Anser and Callaway Razr Fit. These clubs did not necessarily finish first but showed to be very consistent and produced solid results for most testers.
• Although all drivers should be fit for each individual, the TaylorMade R1 and Callaway RAZR Fit seemed like they would benefit the most from having them adjusted/fit. We will be doing a follow up story on these clubs.
• Old school looks were favored by more golfers, the PING coming out on top with the Callaway RAZR next. With non-traditional looks, the Cobra was rated the best followed closely by TaylorMade Rocketballz and NIKE.
