Game improvement products are like gym memberships, great if you use it, waste of money if you don't. And I have wasted a lot of money over my years. And I have a bunch of game improvement products sitting in the garage gathering dust. Now granted, I get a lot of them from the companies to test. But I only have two that I use regularly, one of which I may buy another of them, one for home, one for the trunk of my car. Why two? Because I know myself. I won't continually use it if it's not always available.
You have to ask yourself a few questions before you buy a product.
- Will I use the product?
- Where will I use it: in the backyard and/or the driving range?
- Am I embarrassed to use it on the range?
- Does it correct a problem I have?
- What am I expecting out the the product - distance, accuracy, consistency, etc.?
- And lastly, know yourself and what you will consistently use.
One of our staff carries around a plastic, oversize club that looks like it belongs to a kid. But he swears by it and uses the product every time he goes to the range. The two that I use may not be the same products that you would use, everyone has different needs.
So find the one that will work for you and that you will USE. You will see an improvement in your game.
