Selecting a golf club (for me)
Charlie's Chatter
I am just like all the other ding bat golfers I have met over the years - you know them. They have to try, and ultimately have, all the latest and greatest clubs. The hope and prayer that goes with this purchase is that this is the club which will not only improve our games but will impress the other three in the foursome.

The two clubs that I have most recently been hunting for are putter and either fairway wood or hybrid, a club that I can count on after the driver did its work, a club that will get me between 160 and 200 yards - straight!

Please remember I am close to my 77th birthday and don't have the "speed of youth" in my swing anymore, so after trying every new club imaginable, I settled on two: a 5 wood out of the Bobby Jones collection by Jessie Ortiz and the other being Cleveland Golf's new Mashie M4. This far all I can say is that the Jones club is unbeatable from a bad lie, while the Cleveland beauty is best from the fairway.
